161 ST 3-WALL 2005
Seattle--The 22nd. annual 161st St. Three Wall Handball Tournament was held on July 23rd. We had 13 teams who played out to 5 places and received engraved mugs denoting their finish position. This is a handicapped tournament, with levels from A1 to D3. Sean Lenning and Calen Sifferman, playing as A1’s, defeated Pete Halfaker and Larry Hoff, playing as A2’s, to take the 1st place trophy. Sean and Calen were undefeated in the tournament. Halfaker and Hoff lost a match in the early rounds, but managed to work their way back to the finals. Special thanks to LeRoy Gmazel, Larry Lenning, Steve Stanich , Larry Norton, Vern Cammack and Jim Merritt. The results were as follows: 1st- Sean Lenning/Calen Sifferman , 2nd – Pete Halfaker/Larry Hoff, 3rd- Joe Hagen/Brian Hensen, 4th- Larry Lenning/Ernie McGarry , 5th- Bill Burke/Joe Cox.
