Treasure Valley Handball Association Invitational DoublesBoise, Idaho - The Treasure Valley Handball Association held it's second annual Invitational Doubles tournament Sept. 8-10. When Dean Crispen, former open and 35+ national champion, lost his doubles partner to injury two days before the tournament it wasn't a problem thanks to Jay Capell. Capell, the current 55+ doubles national champion, was already signed up to play in the masters and agreed to team up to play with Crispen in the open. They proved to be a formidable duo and captured the Open Division. Brett Plummer and Kali McCray won the As. In the Bs, Kadell and Goicoechea went undefeated. The Cs had sixteen year old Joe Rinn winning the first tournament he ever played in. Capell and Morse cruised in the Masters, not losing a game. Rocky Lima's Hawaiian Luau pig was the hit of the Sat. dinner along with Local Belly dancers for entertainment.
