2008 Oregon State Singles

Results of the Oregon State Singles Championship Tournament, held January 25-27, 2008 at the Salem Family YMCA, 685 Court St NE, Salem Oregon A large Open Singles bracket highlighted the competitive, skillful, and sportsman-like play in this tournament. There were many “cliff-hanger” matches, which provided thrills and excitement for players and observers alike! Inclement weather (snow & ice) and a leaking court brought schedule challenges but the entrants were patient and helpful while matches were shuffled. Family & friends enjoyed continuous hospitality, and the use of the Salem YMCA facilities. The Salem YMCA Handball Club will make its annual donations of $100 to the USHA and $200 to the “Salem Family YMCA’s 2008 ‘Partners With Youth’ Drive”.
